Collaborative Ceramic Installation

This was the coolest project! Myself and the other two elementary school art teachers created and managed this project. Fifth-grade students from Steamboat Springs School District each created a ceramic tile in the shape of a water drop. The pieces were then installed permanently in the Steamboat Springs Health and Human Resources Building. The tiles represented each student's perspective of their contribution to the community's youth. When put together, they formed a river representing the flowing Yampa River, the heart of our community. The installation is named Many Drops, One River.
